Description

Aside from the Tampa Bay Hotel/University of Tampa, seen on the far left side of the photograph, not much else remains the same in the two photographs. The old Lafayette Street (Kennedy Blvd) Bridge can be seen crossing Hillsborough River in the foreground. In addition, in the historic photo, you can just make out Sacred Heart’s domed room. One of the tallest buildings in the photograph, Wallace S. building, on the corner of Tampa and Twiggs, was heavily renovated and barley recognizable anymore.
