The Victory Theatre, on the northwest corner of Franklin Street and Zack Street, was built in 1920 (the same year this photo was taken) and demolished in 1979.

    This one is a great example of how the Burgert Commercial Photography studio “enhanced” their photos for their clients. Notice they “artistically altered out” the buildings at left and right of the theater to look like trees & such. I’ve seen them do this with a shot of the famous “Las Novedades” restaurant in Ybor, and one they did for Woolworths downtown by whiting out the big “KRESS” sign on the neighboring Kress building. Would you want your competitor’s ad to show up in your store’s ads?
